Dark times have befallen the North Country Racing circuit. After about forty Miller Lites at the Stag party, owner Matt Tessmer chose to take the Mean Machine out for a spin. Even though he could barely stand on the holey board, he clearly felt that 100 miles per hour in the Mean Machine was an appropriate course of action. Needless to say, the Mean Machine crashed into the Golden Dome, through the OFA weight room, eventually coming to a hault at the bottom of the OFA pool. Ironically, all his underwater training could not save him. Rescuers did their best to revive him, but could only bring him back to life to utter a few words. Sadly, his last words were not about Nextel Cup Racing or OFA Football, rather he mustered just enough life to utter, "This pool needs touchpads..."
As the Lion King teaches, this is nothing more than the cycle of life. With his death, owners in the North Country Racing league find rebirth. As of this weekend at Sonoma, our league will welcome new owner Matt Fleahman, who will run Whistling Dixie Motorsports.
Matt Tessmer will pay $30 dollars of the entry fee, leaving the other twenty owed by new owner Matt Fleahman. Tessmer has won $15, so he only owes $15. Matt Fleahman will start with Tessmer's points and twelve chances to make his $20 bucks back. It is his hope that he can revive the dead DDI and make the NCR chase. He will also continue ownership next season.
